Is there really a free trial?
Yes - 14 days, no credit card required. Install the app, connect it to your Slack workspace, see if it changes your day. If it doesn't, walk away and you'll never be charged. If it does, enter payment information at the end of the trial to continue.
Why a subscription instead of one-time?
SlAcknowledge depends on Slack's API (which changes), macOS (which changes annually), and ongoing bug fixes. A subscription funds the work those things actually require. Pure one-time licensing breaks the maintenance incentive - once you've paid, the developer has no business reason to keep the app working. The $5/month explicitly aligns our incentives with yours.
What happens if I cancel?
Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period. The app keeps working until then. After that, license validation fails and the app stops accepting new alerts. Your locally stored data (queue, settings) remains on your Mac until you delete it. Cancel anytime from Paddle's customer portal - no lock-in.
Can I use it on multiple Macs?
Yes - a single subscription covers up to 5 Macs that you personally use. SlAcknowledge has a built-in multi-device sync feature that keeps your queue consistent across all of them: Ack on your Mac Studio, the alert clears on your MacBook Air.
Can my whole team use it?
A subscription covers one user. If you want to outfit a team, each person needs their own subscription. Once each teammate has SlAcknowledge running with their own Slack app, the team-shared-acknowledgment feature kicks in: anyone clicking Ack clears the alert for everyone. Are there refunds?
SlAcknowledge comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee: request a full refund within 30 days of your purchase, for any reason. Refunds are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Full details: Refund Policy.
Who processes my payment?
Paddle, our Merchant of Record. They handle billing, applicable sales tax / VAT / GST, refunds, and chargebacks. We don't store your card details. The merchant on your statement will appear as Paddle.
