01Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how SlAcknowledge ("the app"), operated by LaserBoy Studios, a division of Internection, LLC ("we," "us," "our"), handles information. SlAcknowledge is a single-player macOS app designed to keep your data on your own Mac.

[State the scope of this policy and which products/services it covers.]

02Local-first by design

SlAcknowledge connects directly to Slack from your machine. There is no SlAcknowledge server in the middle: your queue, your messages, and your Slack tokens stay on your Mac.

[Confirm this matches your implementation, and note any exceptions — e.g. crash reporting or license checks that leave the device.]

03What we collect

Because the app is local-first, the data we as a company receive is limited. Typical categories include:

[Enumerate every category of data you collect and the purpose for each.]

04Your Slack data

The Slack messages and tokens the app uses are read on your Mac and are not transmitted to us. You control the Slack app and tokens you create in your own workspace.

[Describe exactly how Slack data is accessed, stored locally, and removed; reference Slack's own privacy terms.]

05Payment information

Subscription payments are handled by our third-party payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card details.

[Name your payment processor and link to its privacy policy; state what billing data you do retain.]

06Analytics & diagnostics

[State whether the app collects any usage analytics or crash diagnostics, what is collected, whether it is anonymized, and how to opt out.]

[If you collect nothing, say so plainly. If you do, be specific and link to any third-party analytics provider.]

07How we share data

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate the subscription (such as our payment processor) or as required by law.

[List every third party you share data with and why.]

08Data retention

Data stored locally is retained on your Mac until you delete it or uninstall the app. Account data we hold is retained [for the period you specify].

[State retention periods and deletion practices for each data category.]

09Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data.

[Describe how users exercise their rights and reference applicable laws — e.g. GDPR, CCPA — if relevant to your audience.]

10Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the limited data we hold. Because most data stays on your device, securing your Mac is an important part of keeping it safe.

[Describe your security practices and any user responsibilities.]

11Children's privacy

SlAcknowledge is not directed to children. [State your minimum age and how you handle inadvertent collection.]

[Add jurisdiction-specific children's-privacy language if required.]

12Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you.

[State how changes are communicated and when they take effect.]
